NZJeMA was formed by Jewish healthcare professionals concerned about growing antisemitism in New Zealand's clinical workplaces and educational institutions.

A connected professional community

The association brings Jewish clinicians, students, researchers, and health professionals together across the country. Connection creates a professional network in which people can share experience, develop projects, and find support when discrimination affects their work or study.

Advocacy and education

NZJeMA advocates for equality and inclusion within healthcare. Its work also includes international collaboration and education about Jewish history, identity, and the connection of the Jewish people to the land of Israel.

Constructive education can help colleagues recognize antisemitic stereotypes, understand their impact, and maintain healthcare spaces in which political disagreement does not become intimidation or discriminatory conduct.

Resources, events, and participation

The association is developing practical resources, member events, news and commentary, and clear ways for Jewish healthcare professionals and students to participate. These pathways bring support, education, advocacy, and community connection together in one place.

Help strengthen the work.

Members can help organize events, contribute to communications, support advocacy, or propose a project. There is room for both regular volunteers and smaller, focused contributions.
